CrossFit & Nutrition Coach
As a child, I spent a decade as a competitive cheerleader, dedicating most of my time to school, the gym, and traveling for out-of-town competitions. However, when I aged out of the sport, I found myself lost, struggling to find my purpose. I briefly explored collegiate cheerleading but soon realized it wasn't the right fit. It was then I felt completely lost, fell into the wrong crowd, and neglected not just my physical fitness but my overall well-being. Years passed, during which I saw my weight fluctuate drastically, reaching 210 pounds at one point. It was only when I decided I'd had enough that I began running, shedding pounds until I reached a very tiny 110 pounds. This is when I stumbled upon CrossFit. CrossFit gave me a new life and a better one at that. It became a place I eagerly anticipated visiting every day, where I made new friends with clear goals and a strong sense of purpose. I began weightlifting as well. I wanted to spend all of my time there, so I immersed myself in the community. I started cleaning the gym, then working the front desk, until I realized I wanted to do more. I wanted to give back that feeling it gave me to others. I started my journey to become a coach. During this time, I also became fascinated with nutrition, realizing its critical role in fueling my newfound strength. Why would I want to keep shrinking my body when I could be strong?! This is when I found my passion for nutrition coaching and teaching others what a powerful tool it is. Within the walls of CrossFit, I made a new fulfilling life for myself. I discovered my 'why,' and I wouldn't have it any other way. Witnessing the spark in others' eyes as they gain confidence in their bodies, reach new personal records, and embark on their own journeys of growth and learning fills me with joy and purpose.
