I've always been a lifelong athlete (soccer, mostly), and I've had multiple injuries try to derail me. My surgeon even said if I kept doing high impact activities, I wouldn't be walking by the time I was 40 (I was 15 at the time). Thankfully, I didn't listen, and instead did my rehab and kept getting stronger. I've found that as long as I keep up strength and do the necessary accessory work, I'm better than ever! It's what drove me to become a physical therapist and what drove me towards CrossFit. Outside of being a therapist and avid CrossFitter, you can often find me hiking, camping, rock climbing, it trail running! And of course, hanging with my Corgi, Jinx 🙂
My passion is helping adults be fit for life and believe that they can be, regardless of injury. I'm motivated by having been there myself. More than once. And I want to help others avoid injury, but if/when it happens, stay active and get back to what they love.
